The Tasca Automotive Group is built on over 60 years of automotive history. Bob Tasca, Sr. opened the original Tasca Ford dealership in Bristol, Rhode Island in 1953 and by the 1960s Bob and his team were the second-largest Ford dealership in the world. The Tasca family has established experience in everything from selling cars to modifying cars to racing cars.
During the golden era of the 60’s and 70’s, Bob Tasca, Sr. worked closely with other icons such as Henry Ford II and Carroll Shelby to bring Ford to the forefront of performance. Historic muscle cars such as the Ford Cobra Jet, Thunderbolt, Tasca Street Boss, and Mystery race cars all began at Tasca Ford.
In the 1960s, the Tasca Racing team competed successfully for over a decade on the NHRA circuit. Today the Tasca performance heritage continues with the second and third generations of the family. Carl Tasca, Sr. (Bob’s son) drives one of the fastest Ford Cobra Jets in the country. Bob Tasca III (Bob’s grandson) pilots a Shelby Mustang Nitro Funny Car.
